CCASA’s 2017 AGM and Information Day will again take on a different format in an attempt to provide our members with an informative and memorable experience.
The 2017 CCASA AGM and Information Day will be held over 1 and half days at the Rydges South Park with tours of Centennial Park Cemetery and West Terrace Cemetery.
Activities will start on Thursday the 4th May at approximately 1:30pm with a tour of Centennial Park Cemetery and Crematorium, followed by a Members and Sponsors Dinner and night tours of West Terrace Cemetery. Then on Friday the conference will commence at 8:30am with a range of interesting and informative workshops and presentations including:
- Walkerville Wesleyan Cemetery – Case Study
- Cemetery Survey & Records Project (John Linsell Mosel Steed)
- Ground Penetrating Radar (Dr Ian Moffatt, Flinders University)
- SafeWork SA SOPs for Cemeteries
- Adopt a Grave Scheme
- West Terrace Cemetery Tours:
- Robyn McKnight Symbolism
- Friends of West Terrace Volunteering
- Ground Penetrating Radar demonstration
- Sponsors demonstrations
- Monument Restoration
We have developed the program to provide a balance of operational demonstrations and informative sessions. We will be breaking into groups for the afternoon tours and demonstrations at West Terrace on the Friday so that everyone has the opportunity to attend all sessions. Registration forms and Agenda will be distributed in early February 2017.
